Son makes plea after ‘extremely vulnerable’ Scots mum goes missing amid lockdown

The sudden disappearance of an "extremely vulnerable" woman in Edinburgh has forced her son to make an emotional appeal for help.

48-year-old Elaine McArthur was reported missing this afternoon after she was last seen walking along Crewe Road North at around 12.40pm.

Concerned over her vulnerable state, son Harry has issued a public plea for help get her reunited with her family

Taking to Twitter he wrote: "My mum has went missing in Edinburgh, and is extremely vulnerable.

"If you have any information please contact as quickly as possible.

"Any shares would be greatly appreciated."

Elaine is described as 5ft2in, slim, and wears her blonde hair tied up.

When last seen she was wearing a green jacket, blue jeans, green trainers and green rucksack.

Anyone who has any information should call Police Scotland on 101, and quote reference number 1604 of 18 April.
