Some of the highest-paid bosses in the UK revealed

  • Executive pay at Britain's largest listed companies has reached a new record high for the fourth consecutive year.
  • The median chief executive officer pay in FTSE 100 firms rose to £4.58 million in 2024-2025, a 6.8 per cent increase from the previous year.
  • On average, an FTSE 100 chief executive now earns 122 times the median UK full-time worker's salary.
  • Thirteen companies paid their chief executives £10 million or more, an increase from ten companies last year, with Peter Dilnot of Melrose Industries earning £45.5 million, and pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca’s chief, Pascal Soriot, paid £14.7 million.
  • The High Pay Centre is advocating for reforms to corporate pay-setting rules to address what it calls "excessive spending on top earners."
