Superman-themed prosthetic leg found in park to be reunited with 3yo owner

The leg was found early on Monday morning.

The three-year-old owner of a Superman-themed prosthetic leg discovered by the Noosa River on Monday has been found.

Sunshine Coast woman Myee Niass found the leg at a popular park near the famous giant pelican at Noosaville during her morning walk.

She took the search to Facebook and made contact with a prosthetic limb company in Sydney.

Today, she was told the owner, a three-year-old boy, had been found back home in New South Wales, hundreds of kilometres away from where his leg was left.

He had been holidaying in Noosaville with his family when he left his leg at the park.

The prosthetics company involved said the family had thanked the woman for her help.
