Snowdonia hotel of 'distinction' has been put on the market

A country hotel on the edge of Snowdonia has been put up for sale.

Sychnant Pass Country House, near Conwy, has come to the market with Christie & Co as owner Janet McLarty plans to retire from the hotel trade.

It is part of the Welsh Rarebits ‘Hotels of Distinction’ collection - that includes some of the nation’s top places to stay.

Alistair Greenhalgh, director at Christie & Co, who is handling the sale, said: “Sychnant Pass Country House offers potential purchasers a stunning location, excellent facilities, and a great reputation.

“For a hands-on owner operator seeking a lifestyle business with a strong trading history it ticks all the boxes.

“The hotel also benefits from a civil wedding licence, and ample garden space for marquees which offers the potential to further develop the weddings and events aspects of the business.”

Christie & Co is seeking an asking price of £1,000,000 for the freehold interest of Sychnant Pass Country House.

Ms McLarty has run the 12 bedroom hotel for nine years.
