
A suspectd sniper killed one detainee and injured two more at a United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Texas before shooting himself, police said.
Officers were called to an ICE branch off North Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, where witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots.
The suspect shot at the ICE office from a nearby building, the Dallas Police Department said.
Police found the gunman dead on the roof of a nearby immigration attorney's office.
The suspect was found near ammunition that had "messages that are anti-ICE in nature," FBI Special Agent in Charge Joe Rothrock said.
FBI Director Kash Patel shared a picture of the rounds, with one bullet simply saying "anti-ICE."

Police said that no law enforcement officials were hurt in the shooting.
The shootings took place at around 7am local time (1pm BST) on Wednesday.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed on X, formerly known was Twitter, that the shooting resulted in “multiple injuries and fatalities” and confirmed a gunman turned a weapon on himself.
Police are investigating the possibility of multiple suspects being involved in the shootings, according to local television station WFAA.
Two migrants who were held in immigration custody have also been rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds. No law enforcement officers had been injured.

“While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop,” Ms Noem said.
US Vice-President JD Vance added: "I'm praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families."
Last month, Bratton Dean Wilkinson, 36, was arrested after making a bomb threat against ICE processing center.
Madison Sheahan, ICE’s deputy director, told Fox News: “We’ve seen a lot of violence at ICE facilities, and this is not the first time that we’ve seen an attack, even this year at an ICE facility,”
Founded under George W. Bush in 2003, ICE is the federal agency tasked with enforcing immigration laws in the US. The agency is involved in the arrests and deportation of undocumented migrants.
There are estimated two million undocumented immigrants in Texas, the majority of whom are from boardering Mexico.
