An elderly woman in Chachoengsao was left badly shaken after opening her door to find a large snake clinging to it, just inches from her face.
It happened on Monday and was captured on a home security camera. The video was later posted online by the woman’s daughter.
In the video, the woman can be seen walking from the right side of the frame towards a door positioned on the left. She opens it and begins to step through, unaware that a large snake is hanging on the door above her head.
Moments later, the reptile raises its head and appears to look towards her. Sensing something unusual, the woman loks upward — only to see the snake staring back at her.
She quickly slams the door shut and runs away. Fortunately, she was not harmed.
Viewers who watched the video online noted that the woman was lucky the intruder appeared to be a non-venomous rat snake, adding that the encounter could have been far more dangerous had it been a cobra.
