Gary Neville says he's been "wound up" by Gareth Bale's attitude on the bench at Tottenham this season.
Welshman Bale has struggled to make an impact since re-joining Spurs on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old has scored just four times in 16 appearances for the north London outfit, with only one of those goals coming in the Premier League.
Questions have been raised over Bale's future - along with that of Dele Alli - given his limited contribution this season.
And Manchester United legend Neville says Jose Mourinho does not need to "pander" to Bale and Alli.
“Is he going to bring Dele Alli and Bale round?,” Neville said on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.
“I’m not saying he has to pander to these players because to be honest with you, Gareth Bale’s wound me up all season, just watching him smile on the bench.
"Dele Alli, to be fair, I worked with him at England, I think he's a brilliant talent, but he should be doing a lot more."
It comes after reports in the Spanish media claimed Mourinho had informed Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that he was "fed up" of Bale.
The same report also stated the Portuguese boss had expressed his "discontent" and "disappointment" with Bale to the Real Madrid chief.
Bale is set to spend the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign on loan with Spurs and will have one year left to run on his contract with Real Madrid once the current season comes to an end.
