Airmaster is a mechanical engineering services company which designs, manufactures on-site, installs and maintains bespoke, energy-efficient heating and air conditioning systems for most market sectors across UK. In 1992, turnover was £80k – now turnover is £5.2 million.
The team promotes energy efficiency with major household names through initiatives including TM44 air conditioning energy assessments, expert advice on FGas compliance, close control air conditioning, comfort cooling, heating and ventilation, geo-thermal and air source heat pumps.
We have achieved increased efficiency through restructuring and some revolutionary ideas via the GrowthAccelerator programme. Investment in Dropbox, Revitt, PlanGrid and the cloud resulted in huge financial savings and dramatically improved customer service, with Airmaster nominated for the EMCOR customer service award.
Three major initiatives have been engineers’ iPads replacing hand-written job sheets. This saved money by massively reducing the time taken to implement design changes between clients and designers – from up to three days down to half an hour at times. Plus, the engineer on site can send notes on scale photos of the installation point and physical environment back to head office for instant changes.
Investment was made into fibre optic broadband and the whole team are using the cloud to dramatically improve communications.
A market-leading client relationship management system – Click – has been brought in across the company to improve client communications.
