Slavia Prague vs Arsenal LIVE!
Arsenal moved momentarily top of the Champions League table with a comfortable 3-0 win over Slavia Prague at the Fortuna Arena. Bukayo Saka and Mikel Merino were the goalscorers in the Czech capital as Mikel Arteta’s side continued their unbeaten start to their European campaign. The visitors are now four wins from four in Europe’s top competition, and they have still not conceded a goal on the continent. The north Londoners rode out the early storm from the hosts, who were buoyed by a raucous home support, but the Gunners grew into the game and took the lead after VAR adjudged Lukas Provod to have handled a Saka corner. The Arsenal captain stroked home from the spot on 32 minutes, and they deservedly went in ahead at the break.
They needed just 40 seconds to notch a second, with Merino tucking home a Leandro Trossard cross inside the opening minute of the second 45. The Spaniard had his second of the encounter when Declan Rice floated a hopeful ball into the box, and home goalkeeper Jakub Markovic misjudged the flight of the ball, with makeshift centre-forward Merino meeting it first to nod into the unguarded net.Arsenal survived a late scare when the referee pointed to the penalty spot after Ben White dangled a high foot to challenge for a bouncing ball with Provod, but VAR overruled the decision.
Max Dowman wrote himself further into the history books as he became the youngest ever player to play in the Champions League at the age of just 15 years and 308 days. The Gunners performed well despite the absences of some key names, including midfield orchestrator Martin Zubimendi and star striker Viktor Gyokeres, who will have a hamstring issue assessed in the coming days. Next up for Arteta is a tricky trip to high-flying Sunderland, before north London derby fever grips the capital next weekend.

Goal! Slavia Prague 0-3 Arsenal
19:16 , Oli Gent68 mins: It’’s three, and it’s Merino again. Declan Rice made it with a nice piece of ingenuity. The midfielder loops it into the box from range, and the goalkeeper comes and doesn’t get there, with Merino nodding it past him into the unguarded net.

18:06 , Oli Gent20 mins: This break in play, here, is not the worst thing for Arsenal. It'll take a bit of heat out of the game and give Arteta the chance to give out some tactical advice.
Slavia Prague 0-0 Arsenal
18:05 , Oli Gent19 mins: Gabriel is down getting some of that magic cream on his face after a clash of heads with Chory. The Brazilian is ok, though, and we continue.

Slavia Prague 0-0 Arsenal
17:57 , Oli Gent13 mins: There’s certainly a directness about Slavia. They’re really looking to use Chory as that focal point up top, pinning and occupying Gabriel and Saliba as best as he can, and then hoping that the midfielders can pick up the pieces with the second balls.
Simon Collings reports
17:55 , Oli Gent10 mins: Not the best start from Arsenal, who have been a bit loose in possession. They need to settle down and get through this early storm from Slavia.
Slavia Prague 0-0 Arsenal
17:53 , Oli Gent8 mins: Slavia have started this game on the front foot, looking to go from back to front quickly. Chory is a particular handful with his sheer size, and the hosts are also buoyed by the raucous home support. But can they keep this energy up?

Arsenal lineup analysed
17:02 , Oli GentA couple of surprises, then, from Arteta.
We thought that it might be Mikel Merino up top, while Christian Norgaard comes in for a rare start in place of Zubimendi.
Piero Hincapie gets a run-out at left-back, although he will likely invert and play as an auxiliary centre-back, supporting attacking moves from more central and inverted areas.
Ethan Nwaneri gets the nod ahead of the rested Eze, and the onus will be on him to provide that creative spark to feed the front three.
Slavia Prague lineup
16:48 , Oli GentConfirmed Slavia Prague lineup: Markovic; Vlcek, Chaloupek, Zima; Moses, Zafeiris, Sadilek, Mbodji; Sanyang, Chory, Provod.
Subs: Boril, Saracevic, Chytil, Doudera, Hashioka, Jelinek, Kolisek, Kusej, Prekop, Rezek, Stanek, Toula.
Simon Collings reports
16:45 , Oli GentNo surprise to Eze get a rest. He has started the last six games in a row for Arsenal. It will be intriguing to see Hincapie at left-back - in the Bayer Leverkusen squad last season, only Frimpong recorded a higher top speed.
Arsenal lineup
16:32 , Oli GentConfirmed Arsenal lineup: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie; Rice, Norgaard, Nwaneri; Saka, Merino, Trossard.
Subs: Setford, Rojas-Fedorushchenko, Mosquera, White, Eze, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly, Dowman, Sagoe, Harriman-Annous.

The natural back-up, Kai Havertz, is also out on the treatment table.

Standard Sport prediction
15:55 , Oli GentArsenal’s injury woes may be mounting, but such is the squad’s strength in depth another win - again without conceding - looks likely.
Slavia Prague earned a very credible 0-0 draw at Atalanta last time out, but another clean sheet looks as tall an order as any on offer across the continent. Arsenal could cruise in the Czech capital.
Arsenal to win, 3-0
Arsenal team news
15:45 , Oli GentWith a tricky trip to Sunderland coming up on Saturday evening, Mikel Arteta will be tempted to make a number of changes in Prague, though two are enforced.
Viktor Gyokeres picked up a muscular injury in the win over Burnley and has been ruled out of the match. Martin Zubimendi has also suffered a fitness issue, but was suspended for this game anyway. Mikel Merino could deputise, as he did at the weekend, up front, and Christian Norgaard is in line to make his first Champions League start.
Elsewhere, Gabriel Martinelli remains sidelined so Leandro Trossard should get the nod on the wing, with Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze completing the trio in support of Merino.
Slavia Prague team news
15:35 , Oli GentThere’s a relatively long list of absentees for the Czech side today.
Left-back Domink Javorcek is out with a knee injury, while Petr Sevcik has done his cruciate ligament. The same can be said about Filip Horsky and Tomas Holes.
Igoh Ogbu is sidelined with a hamstring problem, while Ivan Schranz and Jan Boril are also ruled out.
