Sky to offer customers £11 laptops in UK's first rollover data deal

Sky Mobile customers will now be able to get a laptop from just £11 as part of a new package from the global tech giant. Sky Mobile claim they are the first provider to offer data rollover for connected laptops.

This means customers who have any unused data each month won’t lose it, as it rolls into their Sky Piggybank where they can dip into it when they need it, either for a data boost, to share with other SIMs on their plan or to purchase accessories.

Connected laptops have their own SIM plan and data allowance, which means there is no need to tether a phone or connect to WiFi hotspots, helping customers stay connected on the go.

The laptop range includes four new Samsung connected laptop models, the Chromebook GO LTE, Chromebook2 360 LTE, as well as two Windows laptops, the Galaxy Book2 Go 5G and the premium Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 5G, with more laptops arriving later in 2023.

Prices start from £11 a month, with 36 or 48 month payment plans and 0% interest. Data plans start from £0 for 100MB, ranging to £26 for 75GB, and existing Sky Mobile customers can roll any spare data between their mobile SIM and their laptop SIM.

Paul Sweeney, Managing Director of Sky Mobile said: “We want to help our customers get access to the best technology at prices that are affordable.

"Customers will now be able to get the same great Sky Mobile benefits like Roll and Mix on their laptop devices, where they won’t lose any of the data they’ve bought, and can change their data plan up or down to suit their needs, offering flexibility and great value without having to compromise on the quality of the tech.”

Existing customers who want to upgrade to get the latest laptop can do so whenever suits them, claims Sky. Below is a list of Sky Mobile pricing for the latest laptop models, all of which include 99% network coverage, roll spare data over into Sky Piggybank, and no mid-contract price rises.

  • The Samsung Chromebook Go LTE will start from £11 a month for 48 months
  • The Samsung Chromebook 2 360 LTE will start from £19 a month for 48 months
  • The Samsung Galaxy Book2 GO 5G will start from £16 a month
  • The Samsung Galaxy Book3 PRO 360 5G will start from £55 a month.

EE also offer laptops and tablets, and their range includes Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, Microsoft, ACER, Nokia, TCL and more, with prices starting from £11.70 a month. Meanwhile, Vodafone has a range of laptop deals too with the cheapest starting from £19 a month. O2's laptop offers start from £18.50 a month.
