Sky Sports' Jo Wilson stunning wedding as she moved ceremony after cancer diagnosis

Sky Sports' Jo Wilson has just got married after bravely battling her stage 3 cervical cancer diagnosis.

The Scottish presenter, 37, who has hosted Sky Sports since 2015, is undergoing chemotherapy - but looked beautiful as she tied the knot with the father of her daughter Mabel, two, in London.

Looking stunning sporting a gorgeous ivory bridal gown, Jo said 'I do' with her partner Dan as they made their vows at Chelsea Old Town Hall.

The mum-of-one had her last chemotherapy session just three weeks before her big day as she admitted to "some dark days" over the past couple of months.

"We brought the wedding forward to have something to look forward to. When facing cancer you quickly understand what matters in life – love," Jo explained.

"Dan wanting to marry me and commit when he was seeing me at my worst meant everything. And it was a lovely distraction planning something special after something so horrible," reports OK! magazine.

The couple confessed they were in tears as they walked into the ceremony accompanied by Through The Echoes by Paolo Nutini.

After exchanging rings they left the venue to Getting Started by Sam Fender, who they'd seen perform live just before Jo's treatment started.

Joined by the couple's daughter and Jo's two cousins, the presenter explained the couple chose to baulk with tradition, staying together the night before and getting the tube to the registry office.

"We called it the ‘non-wedding wedding’! We wanted to keep it simple," she said.

The pair honeymooned in Somerset with Mabel, where the family enjoyed country walks and an a relaxing spa.

As the couple woke up the morning after their wedding, they said: “Hey hubby, hey wife” which Jo sweetly said: "made us smile".

The couple got engaged on Christmas Day in 2021 with little Mabel watching on as Dan proposed to his partner "unexpectedly and magically'.

However, confessing she thought the pair would get married in a few years, Jo admitted things are "hard dealing with the unknown as I wait for my scan in December".

"The anxiety around my scan could be a bit of a hindrance," she admitted. "Even if I start to feel better physically, the mental side of things is hard to deal with."

Jo explained she was still feeling "pretty wiped out" and suffering from "brain fog", but added that her appetite was back and she felt she was "improving".

Crediting Dan with looking after her and Mabel while holding down a job, she concluded: "Hopefully this is a new chapter in our life, not just with our marriage, but as we hope for good news in December too."
