Sky's brand new intimate and up-close Noel Gallagher concert is released in June

With a new album to promote which marks a decade of The High Flying Birds, it's fantastic to see Noel Gallagher doing what he does best, releasing new music and providing brilliant interviews.

As viewers of The Late Late Show can attest to, the guitarist is second to none when it comes to the ability to tell a yarn and entertain audiences. However, his performance of 'Dead In The Water' was a timely reminder of Gallagher's wonderful ability to write songs that have seem to take on a pop-culture legacy of their own.

Well, on Thursday, June 10 at 21.00, fans will be treated to an up-close and intimate performance that features some classic Oasis and High Flying Birds tunes.

In terms of a synopsis, Noel Gallagher: Out of the Now will see: "The legendary songwriter presents an up-close performance of music and storytelling from London’s Duke of York’s Theatre.

"Powered by his full formidable band, Noel will perform ten tracks spanning his career in Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Oasis, and walk us through some of the significant moments in his own life and career which continue to define British pop culture."

In a post on his official Instagram account, the man who wrote Live Forever, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger and a litany of more classics gave his reasons for doing the show.

"There's been no sign of anybody saying anything about the music business. It's all about f**king sport and hanging out in parks and all that kind of shit. Well, what about f**king music? You know, music is of the utmost importance to people. People live and breathe it, and I'm not just talking about musicians. I'm talking about people who fans are into it," he said.

We can't wait to see what's in store.

Noel Gallagher: Out of the Now airs on Thursday, June 10 at 21.00 on Sky Arts and NOW.

Don't miss it.
