‘Skinny, bald’ prisoner on the run after absconding from jail - do not approach him

UPDATE: DANIEL GREEN HAS BEEN FOUND

A prisoner has absconded from a men’s open prison in Cheshire.

Daniel Green, 34, was last seen at HMP Thorn Cross, in Appleton, earlier this morning (Friday June 4).

Thorn Cross is a Category D men’s open prison and young offender institution (YOI) in Warrington, Cheshire.

Police are now appealing for information about Green’s whereabouts.

Cheshire Constabulary say he has links to Cumbria, though he could still be in the local area.

Green is described as being bald and of a skinny build.

He was last seen wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a grey top and a Nike grey t-shirt.

Anyone who sees Green is warned not to approach him and instead contact police on the emergency 999 phone number.

Officers are making a number of enquiries to trace Green.

Anyone with any information about his whereabouts are urged to contact police.

They should contact police on 101 or 999 and quote IML 1004615.

Information can also be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
