Skate: How to Complete Manual Beleaf Challenge

In skate., roaming around the open world, jumping off buildings and flying, and landing random tricks is a lot of fun. If you actually want to progress in the game, though, you’ll have to complete several challenges in all areas of San Vansterdam. One of the more challenging ones is the Manual Beleaf, where you’ll see a lot of players struggling to land two manuals and complete the other objectives in one go.

To “shut it down” in the game’s challenges, you often have three or four unique requirements, with the last one asking you to complete all the requirements in one sequence. In the Manual Beleaf Challenge, you have to score 400 points, do a flip trick, land two manuals, and do a 180-spin. To fully complete the challenge, do all of this in one go. It’s not the easiest thing in the world, but here’s how to complete the Manual Beleaf challenge.

Nailing The Manuals

Unlike some challenges that ask you for pure speed or big air, Beleaf demands precision, patience, and feather-light adjustments. The most important thing is getting a hang of manuals, and you should practice a bit before pulling your hair out trying to complete this challenge.

Regular Manual: Gently pull the Right Stick downward.

Nose Manual: Gently push the Right Stick upward.

Subtle inputs are key here; if you push the stick too far in either direction, your skater will crouch down and start winding for an ollie or flip trick. If you need a visual cue, the round indicator at the bottom of your screen should be just slightly below the interior circle’s area. In case you’re still struggling, I highly recommend reading our guide on manuals in skate. You won’t be completing this challenge without manuals, and it’s a fundamental mechanic you’ll need in later challenges too.

Now, let’s put all the requirements together and attack them in one go. You don’t need to worry too much about the 400 points requirement, as you’ll naturally score this when you do a flip trick, the 180-spin, and the two manuals correctly. Now, to do it altogether, start at the market, push to full speed, and follow the steps below:

  1. Do a kickflip to land on the first platform. You do this by flicking the right stick up and diagonally left.
  2. Right before you land the kickflip, gently pull back on the right stick to enter a regular manual. You need to do this right before you hit the first platform to land in the manual to keep the sequence going.
  3. As you near the second platform, do an ollie towards the second one. Again, an ollie is done by flicking the right stick upward.
  4. Right before you land the ollie on the next platform, do another manual by holding the right stick very slightly downward. Again, do this right before you hit the platform as you did previously. You want to land in the manual.
  5. Finally, flick the right stick up and diagonally left as you hold the joystick to the left. This will count as a 180 kickflip off the second platform. You could also do a different 180 flip trick, or just a simple 180 spin to complete the challenge.

Of course, don’t expect to do this all in one go, especially if you don’t have the hang of manuals yet. Depending on how far you’ve progressed, this may very well be the first “skill check” for chaining manuals and flip tricks in the game.
