TAK: Police commissioner Chakthip Chaijinda has transferred six officials, including the acting commander, of the Mae Sot police station after two Chinese suspects on China’s arrest warrants escaped from detention.

The decision came after technology crime and immigration police, led by Pol Maj Gen Surachate Hakparn, arrested 12 Chinese nationals for suspected illegal entry during a raid to seize internet relay devices serving six casinos along Thailand-Myanmar border last Tuesday.
The Mae Sot provincial court fined them 3,000 baht each on Friday.
Of the suspects, two had arrests warrants on them in China.
The 12 men were detained at Mae Sot police station pending transfer to Tak immigration police. The two under China’s arrest warrants later escaped from detention.
There were reports the 12 men had celebrated after the court ruling on Friday in the detention room. Their friends had sent food and drinks and the two men disappeared that night.
