Six dead after gunman opens fire in Germany

Six people are dead after a gunman opened fire in Germany.

Emergency services swooped on Rot am See, a town in the Baden-Württemberg district of Germany, according to local reports.

It's believed the suspect has been captured.

Police were called just before 12.50pm, the Mirror reports.

Aalen Police force shared a message on social media.

A tweet from their official account read: "Larger police operation in Rot am See because there was shooting.

"Several injuries, probably dead in a building."

Police suggested that the shooting was linked to a "personal relationship" and that there were no other suspects at this point.
