Sister's heartbreaking message to brother who 'stormed out' and went missing four weeks ago

A heartbroken sister has sent a message to her brother who "stormed out" four weeks ago and hasn't been heard from since.

James Miller went missing three days before Christmas after leaving his mum's house in Warrington at around 11pm.

The 38-year-old was spotted on CCTV in Slater Street, Latchford, but that was the last known sighting of him.

He didn't return home for Christmas, New Year or his 38th birthday on January 19 - he has now been missing over four weeks.

His sister Emma has shared a touching message that she hopes James will see and return home to his family.

Speaking to the ECHO, Emma said: "We just want James to know we love him and we will be here for him when he is ready.

"He has nothing to be embarrassed about and we can deal with this as a family.

"We will get him whatever help he needs but we just need to know he is safe and aware of how much everyone wants him home."

Speaking to the ECHO on Tuesday night, Emma said: "Today is James's 38th birthday which is really difficult as it should be a happy day but instead we are missing him so much."

James' family have asked the public to check any hidden areas where someone may have been camping and to also to look inside their sheds, garages, outhouses and lofts.

Emma said she can't thank the public enough for their help and the family "won't give up" until James is safe.

She added: "Please check hidden areas you know about if anyone has been camping out there, check sheds, garages, outhouses and lofts.

"We can't thank the public enough for all the help, every share of his poster, every like or view gets his face out there.

"We have a Facebook group Missing James Miller which has over 7,000 people.

"We truly can't thank everyone enough for all their help and support, we won't give up until we know he is safe.

"Our whole world is like living in limbo, we await for the moment he comes back through that door."

James is described as 5ft 8ins tall with bright blue eyes, of a medium build and with a distinctive scar on the side of his head.

He was wearing a white t-shirt and grey jogging bottoms at the time of his disappearance and is believed to be on foot.

PC Angela Bahn, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “We’re becoming increasingly concerned for James as time goes on and are continuing to search the area he was last seen.

“I am encouraging anyone who thinks they may have seen James, or know of his whereabouts, to please contact us. I would also ask residents to check their sheds and outbuildings and report any information to us.

“James, if you see this please get in touch with us on 101 as your family are really worried about you.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting IML 880492.
