
Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi underscored on Saturday his country’s firm and constant support for Iraq.
During a meeting with an Iraqi ministerial delegation in Cairo, he said Egypt was keen on Iraq achieving its interests, overcoming its challenges and preserving its security and stability.
Egypt looks forward to boosting cooperation with Iraq, said presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.
The Iraqi delegation hailed Cairo’s support to Baghdad, especially in confronting common challenges, starting with terrorism, and in achieving security, stability and development.
The meeting tackled various investment and cooperation opportunities and implementing agreements reached by the Egyptian-Iraqi higher committee.
