Sir Alex Ferguson 'predicts who will win Premier League title' this season

Sir Alex Ferguson believes Liverpool will win a first Premier League title this season, according to Jonathan Walters.

And the reason he thinks the Reds will beat Manchester City to the trophy is because he's convinced his former club Manchester United will get something out of the derby later this month.

Former Republic of Ireland international Walters was talking on BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast when he named-dropped Ferguson.

He claims he was speaking to Phil Bardsley, who he played alongside at Burnley, about the title race when he mentioned Ferguson's thoughts on Liverpool and Manchester City's run-in.
