Simon Cowell avoids taking part in 'most dangerous BGT act yet' after storming off day before

Simon Cowell managed to avoid taking part in what was dubbed "the most dangerous Britain's Got Talent act yet", meaning that David Walliams had to stand in instead.

This comes a day after the media mogul stormed off stage during a ventriloquist act.

Escapologist Jonathan Goodwin, who previously set himself on fire on stage, was blindfolded as timed arrows faced him.

He had to listen to the water to know when and where to duck out of the way.

Thankfully no one died and viewers were left stunned over the act, but one quipped: "At least he didn't ask Simon on stage #BGT."

Last night Simon caused an uproar on BGT when he stormed off stage mid-way through ventriloquist Jimmy Tamley's performance - leaving the baffled comedian unable to finish his act.

Viewers at home dubbed it 'car crash TV' and speculated if the reason behind Simon's stubborn exit was a sour-mood they'd claimed to pick up during the night.

While others wondered if it was down to Simon's apparent 'tension' with co-judge David Walliams - with the pair bickering throughout the fourth semi-final.

However, a TV insider has claimed there's a more personal explanation behind Simon's apparent upset.

The source claimed explained that Jimmy had accidentally niggled an injury of Simon's and he felt he need to take measures to stop any unintentional damage.

They claimed: “It turns out the reason Simon left the stage was due to an old ski-ing injury. Jimmy grabbed hold of Simon’s knee but, understandably, won’t have realised about Simon’s old injury when he wanted him to do the can-can.

"So Simon had to take the lead to stop any embarrassment! Backstage, everyone has been giggling - and Simon thinks it was a great TV moment!”

They added: "Simon is absolutely fine. He’s been laughing about it. There’s been lots of laughter in the dressing room, with a few production members jokingly acting with their tails between their legs! But Simon saw the funny side."
