This is the harrowing moment bystanders filmed a Ukrainian refugee bleeding to death on a train after being stabbed by a stranger in the United States.
Iryna Zarutska, 23, was killed in the random attack while travelling on a light rail line in Charlotte, North Carolina last month.
The suspect, Decarlos Brown Jr, 34, has since been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and causing death on a mass transportation system — which, if guilty, could carry the death penalty.
CCTV released by the Charlotte Area Transit System shows Zarutska boarding the Lynx Blue Line at around 10pm on August 22.
Brown Jr, who sat behind Zarutska wearing a red hoodie, proceeds to stab her three times, including at least once in the neck with a penknife.

Despite the efforts of fellow passengers to save Zarutska, she was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.
Later in the video, individuals in the same carriage can be spotted filming her lifeless body as blood poured across the floor.
Critics have questioned why Brown was free despite having an extensive criminal record, including convictions of armed robbery.
He also reportedly suffers from mental health issues, such as schizophrenia, with his mother telling WSOC-TV that she had sought to have him involuntarily committed to a psychiatric hospital.

President Donald Trump has waded in on the matter, branding Brown Jr a "mentally deranged lunatic".
He posted on his Truth Social: "I have seen the horrific video of a beautiful, young Ukrainian refugee, who came to America to escape the vicious War in Ukraine, and was innocently riding the Metro in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she was brutally ambushed by a mentally deranged lunatic.
"What the hell was he doing riding the train, and walking the streets? Criminals like this need to be LOCKED UP.
"The blood of this innocent woman can literally be seen dripping from the killer's knife, and now her blood is on the hands of the Democrats who refuse to put bad people in jail.”
Having left Ukraine for the US with her mother following Russia’s invasion in 2022, Iryna worked at Zepeddie’s Pizzeria and dreamed of becoming a veterinary assistant.
The GoFundMe for her family has already raised more than $318,000 (£235,000).
