SI exam: Two use wigs to look taller, held in Karnataka

BELAGAVI: Cops have booked two aspirants for using wigs to increase their height during an entrance exam for police sub-inspector posts on Thursday.

The arrested are Balesh Sandappa Durdundi of Jagnur village in Chikkodi and Umesh N of Kulgod village in Mudalagi. Both pasted thermocol on their heads and wore a wig on top to increase their height. Cheating cases have been filed at Belagavi Rural and Market police stations. Balesh was caught during the physical test held at KSRP Second Battalion at Mache village, while Umesh was held at DAR ground.

DCP (law and order) Vikram Amte said both have been booked under IPC sections 420 and 511. Sources said while checking the candidates’ height during the physical exam, Sandappa and Umesh were found wearing wigs and the make-up was easily visible.
