The newest trend in the NFL is for teams to make changes to their uniforms and especially helmets. We have to admit the new red helmet the Houston Texans unveiled looks really sharp and the Cincinnati Bengals are going to rock a white helmet.
But what about the Steelers? Pittsburgh is a very traditional, conservative team who typically passes on the flash. I’m not ready for a white Steelers helmet like the Bengals did but what about bringing back the gold helmets? A lot of fans think of the gold helmets as part of the team’s uniform during the 2007 season but gold helmets were actually the original color for the team going all the way back to 1933.
