BHOPAL: A shopkeeper allegedly molested a 14-year-old girl, who had come to purchase snacks at his shop in Eintkhedi locality on Friday evening. The girl raised an alarm for help and rushed back home; later she narrated the incident to her parents and reported the matter to police.
Police said that the survivor stated in her complaint that on Friday evening around 5pm, she had gone to a nearby grocery shop, the accused shop owner was alone at his shop. He grabbed her hand, dragged her inside and molested her.
Acting on her complaint, Eintkhedi police registered a case on charges of molestation against the accused under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act and started the investigation.
