Actor Sourabh Raaj Jain recently shot for an upcoming project in the interiors of Gorakhpur. Compared to mainstream city shoots, shooting in a smaller city was a different experience for Sourabh.
Speaking about the shoot experience, Sourabh shares, "Shooting in the interiors of a city is fascinating, humbling and joyful in many ways. You may or may not get a vanity to get ready but it is a different experience. While I can't talk much about the project that I was shooting for, I can share my experience. We were mostly asked to get ready at a local person's house and the locals there were always so curious about what was happening. Those instances led to so many conversations with them which at times made me think deep. They were even very sweet to offer us their local food and snacks which were lovely gestures."
He further adds, "When we shot in the smaller remote areas, many times people from that area would end up working in our units. It was nice to see their excitement to do even the smallest of jobs. It made our entire shoot an even more memorable one."
Sourabh loves to try new food and he did the same when he was in Gorakhpur. He says, "So we were shooting in the interiors of Gorakhpur, away from any chains of restaurants or hotels. One local person who was assisting us while shooting, invited me for dinner, and I had the most delicious litti chokha which was made right in front me and served with pure ghee. It was one delicious!"
