Shocking pictures shows car flipped on its roof after crash on A52

Shocking pictures have been released of a car flipped on its roof on the A52 after a crash.

Emergency services were called to Bardills Island on the A52 to the scene of the crash.

Stapleford fire station has since released pictures from the crash they were called to at around 9.28am on Saturday, April 3.

Witnesses called Nottinghamshire Police, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service with some reporting that a vehicle had flipped over on to its roof and landed in a ditch.

The fire service said the driver and passenger had their lives saved because they were wearing seat belts.

Crews from Stapleford and another from Long Eaton Fire Station and a senior officer attended.

Acting Watch Manager Dan Gibbs, who was the incident commander at the scene, said: "Thankfully both driver and front seat passenger had their seat belts on, these undoubtedly saved their lives.

"Both escaped with minor injuries.

"If you have any information, dash cam footage or witnessed the incident. I’d ask that you call 101 and quote 58 of April 3.”
