The video shows a man, topless and barefoot, as his attacker assaults him in broad daylight.
The victim can be heard shouting: "Will ya cop on, will ya" as he takes the punches to his face and upper body.
The video is believed to have been taken days before a shooting where an innocent man was blasted in the leg as he was loading rubble into a skip.
Local Fine Gael TD Fergus O'Dowd previously said: "There's fear in the town, there's deep concern, we need and must have more gardai."
