LUCKNOW: UP assembly Speaker Satish Mahana on Wednesday administered oath to SP MLA from Jaswantnagar, Shivpal Yadav, BJP’s Campiyarganj MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh, Kanpur MLA Surendra Maithani and Mallawan MLA Ashish Kumar Singh ‘Ashu’ in his office.
The Speaker presented the MLA Constitution and the Rules of Conduct of Legislative Assembly business. Congratulating all the MLAs, Mahana said that the lawmakers need to resolve problems of the people by participating in the debates in the house. Principal Secretary, Vidhan Sabha Pradeep Kumar Dubey and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
MLAs who are yet to take oath include jailed SP MLA from Rampur Azam Khan, his son and Suar MLA Abdullah Azam, Kushinagar MLA Panchanand Pathak, Unnao MLA Pankaj Gupta and Chamravwa MLA Naseer Ahmad.
Later, Mahana inspected various sections of the Vidhan Sabha. He directed the section officers and employees of all the sections to execute their work at a fast pace and maintain the quality of work. Instructions were also given to take prompt action on the questions and other information received from the MLAs.
