Shaun of the Dead coronavirus spoof as Simon Pegg and Nick Frost explain how to deal with pandemic

Hot Fuzz stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have put a smile on their fans faces with their latest video about how to deal with coronavirus.

The pair released a video on their YouTube channel titled 'The Plan' which gives amusing tips on dealing with the pandemic - comparing it to the zombie apocalypse their characters dealt with in Shaun of the Dead.

In the clip, which is only 1 minute and 44 seconds long, the pair can be seen on the phone to each other discussing how they are getting on with self-isolation and what they plan to do to get through it.

Simon gives his pal some useful advice. He said: "If you can, stay at home, have a cup of tea, and wait for all of this to blow over.

"Above all, don't be a t**t about things, we're all in this together. Don't be selfish, look after each other, give someone a call if you think they might be lonely."

He then goes on to ask how Nick is getting on being stuck in the house to which Nick explains that he is running out of toilet paper and asks his pal if he could spare a roll or two.

Simon says he is unable to help as he's down to his last sheet, but the camera tells us otherwise viewers can see him sitting with a whole stash.

After the spoof comes to an end, the pair leave a more serious message which reads: 'Don't panic, we can beat the apocolypse, together. Love Simon and Nick.'

Six people have died in Scotland due to coronavirus and 266 confirmed cases.
