Sharon Osbourne shares health update on Ozzy amid claim she'll break major Celebrity Big Brother rule

Sharon Osbourne shared a health update about her husband Ozzy as she settled into her first day in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Last year, the Crazy Train hitmaker, 74, announced that he would have to stop touring following extensive spinal surgery.

Ozzy had a fall at home in 2019 which aggravated injuries from a near-fatal quad bike crash in 2003.

In 2020, the Black Sabbath rocker revealed he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and cancelled his North American tour at the time due to undergoing medical treatment.

Then in September, Ozzy said of his health battle: "It’s been five years of absolute hell for me and my family.”

He added: “The family has been so supportive of me. I couldn’t have done it without them. It’s been a really bad scene. I have Parkinson’s, but I never think about it.”

Now sharing an update on her husband’s ailing health, the former X Factor judge told her fellow housemate and theatre star Marisha Wallace that Ozzy is “miserable” in scenes that will air on Tuesday night.Asked on how her husband is doing, Sharon responds: “He’s doing okay, it’s hard for him but he’s doing okay.

“He’s already started to complain. I had my last phone call with him on the way here and he was miserable.”

In the same installment, Osbourne reveals she is planning to move back to the UK from Los Angeles from April, admitting: “I miss it here, very very much.”

Speaking to Wallace, the TV star first jokes she has lived in the US for “a long-ass time”, before adding: “I first moved to America in 75. And I stayed.

“Even though Ozzy’s from England we met over there.”

It has been reported that Sharon has been given permission to break one of the show’s biggest rules - contact with the outside world.

According to The Sun, the TV personality has been granted “daily welfare updates” on how Ozzy is doing.

A TV insider told the outlet: "Sharon will get a daily welfare update on how husband Ozzy is doing as she is worried about his health and would only go in if she knew he was OK.

"She won't be told any other information about what is going on in the real world, but she'll be kept up to speed with how Ozzy is. He is her number one priority and given his age and all of his health struggles, she needed to have that piece of mind.

"Family means everything to Sharon and bosses were happy to make an exception to the rules in order to ensure she could relax during her stint in the house."

The Standard has contacted ITV for comment.
