Shai Gilgeous-Alexander listed among Bleacher Report’s top 23 under 23

Following an impressive rookie season with the Los Angeles Clippers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is poised to start a sophomore season with the Oklahoma City Thunder that could be the beginning of his ascension to the franchise’s top foundational piece.

While he may be an unknown relative to Thunder fans, the compliments he’s received from his old head coach at Kentucky, John Calipari, and Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank should give the Oklahoma City faithful an idea of what to expect.

But if that’s not enough, Bleacher Report illustrated Gilgeous-Alexander’s potential further by ranking him 10th on their “NBA’s Best 23 Under 23” list, explaining he’s “All-Star material” and that his length is “ultra-disruptive in a responsible, measured sort of way.”

Gilgeous-Alexander, 21, ranked ahead Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown, rookies Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies) and RJ Barrett (New York Knicks) and Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton. Thunder fans may get their first at the point guard on October 8, when the Thunder start preseason play against the Dallas Mavericks.
