Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' co-star Rachel Ann Mullins reveals REAL reason for delay of film and it has something to do with Aryan Khan

Shah Rukh Khan made his long-awaited return to the big screen with his action-film 'Pathaan'. The movie opened to record-breaking numbers around the world. Actress Rachel Ann Mullins, who plays a spy in the Sidharth Anand’s directorial, went live on her social media handle where she got candid about the fan frenzy around the film and also her experience working on the Bollywood movie.

Speaking about the film's record-breaking box office numbers, she said, "A billion dollars in a single day, James Cameron couldn't!"

She went on to reveal that much about the film was kept a secret from the other actors and she said, "I just received my portion of the script. The other parts were watermarked."

Mullins also explained that the script was mostly written in Hindi, hence she wouldn't be able to understand the plot.

While on the Live stream, she also added that the film was initially set to release in 2021. She said, "I made this movie two Christmases ago. It was supposed to come out last year, but Shah Rukh Khan, like the main dude... his son was on this cruise in Mumbai. The whole cruise got caught with a ton of drugs which is a little legal in America, but it is extremely illegal in India. And, they took his son to jail and it was a whole big thing."

Going by the actress' post, Aryan Khan's arrest in the drugs case was one of the reasons for the delay. Reports stated that Shah Rukh had paused his film's shoot to be with his family while Aryan spent nearly a month in jail and had to follow up with the NCB every week. The star kid was later given a clean chit on the matter.

Rachel also goes on to express her shock to get tickets to see the film as she said, "the only tickets available to see the show, were front-row.

In an interview with a daily, she also revealed that she didn't really know who Shah Rukh Khan was, but on chatting with the star, she realised that they share a birthday.

She also added that she only knew she was a part of something big when she saw Deepika Padukone's name on a costume trunk on the sets.

Pathaan became the first Hindi film in India to enter the Rs 100 crore club in 2 days flat. With a collection of around Rs 120 crore, Pathaan is likely to cross the Rs 200 crore mark over the weekend itself.

The movie also has a surprise cameo by Salman Khan from Tiger.
