Sexual assault suspect named as teenager attacked

A 21-year-old man has appeared in court on a charge of sexual assault.

At around 8.10pm on Thursday (March 17), officers were called to a report that a teenager over the age of 16 was sexually assaulted in the area of St Mary's Road, Garston. The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.

Police said yesterday (Sunday) they had charged a Liverpool man with sexual assault following an incident in Garston.

Rahmijah Hindes, of no fixed abode, was also charged with assault following the incident.

Hindes appeared at Wirral magistrates court today (Monday), and was remanded into custody.
