Sexual assault on Glasgow Central to Largs train sparks police probe after man attacked

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was sexually assaulted on a train bound for Ayrshire.

The victim boarded the 11.45pm Glasgow Central to Largs service on Friday, July 2 at the rear carriage.

He was separated from his friends and asked another man if he had seen them.

It's alleged that the man then sexually assaulted him.

The attacker is described as a white male in his early 20s, of medium build and around 5’9.

He had blonde curly hair and a nose ring, wearing dark jeans and trainers.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to help with their investigation.
