Several sheep killed as animal transporter crashes in north-east Scotland

A ROAD in the north east of Scotland is closed after an animal transporter crashed with several sheep dying.

The A920 Boghead to Moray road is closed after a one vehicle collision at around 9.15am on Thursday.

Police Scotland said the male driver was uninjured but a number of sheep died.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area for the time being. The fire service has also sent three fire appliances to the scene.

In a statement from Police Scotland, a spokesperson said: "The A920 Boghead to Moray road is closed after a one vehicle collision.

"The crash was reported around 9.15am on Thursday, 22 May, 2025 and involved an animal transporter. The male driver was uninjured but a number of sheep died in the collision. 

"Motorists should avoid the area."
