Several incoming rookies want to dunk on LeBron James and Anthony Davis

An interesting crop of rookies is set to enter the NBA for the 2023-24 season, and the basketball world will be watching to see what level they will ascend to.

Scoot Henderson, an explosive 6-foot-2 guard, joins the Portland Trail Blazers to try to revitalize them, while forward Brandon Miller tries to make the moribund Charlotte Hornets relevant.

Wembanyama, Miller and a number of other incoming rookies were asked who they would most like to dunk on, and most of them said James. A couple of them said they would like to posterize Anthony Davis (h/t Lakers Daily).

After 20 sublime seasons in the NBA, James may not be the exact athletic freak he used to be, and he’s certainly not exactly the defensive stalwart he was about a decade ago. Dunking on him or on Davis, who is always seemingly a Defensive Player of the Year candidate, is still sure to earn a rookie his stripes.
