A seventh man has been charged following investigations into a series of alleged kidnappings police say are linked to organised crime.

Emergency services were called to Greenacre, in Sydney's southwest, about 8.30pm on February 17, 2023, after a concern for welfare report.

Officers located a 30-year-old man with injuries to his hands, face and feet, who was treated by paramedics at the scene.

He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition and still requires ongoing medical treatment, police say.

Police allege the man was abducted and assaulted by a group of unknown men the previous day.

It was allegedly linked to two other kidnappings that occurred between February 14 and 16, 2023.

Police will allege all three victims were targeted as part of an ongoing drug dispute involving an organised criminal network.

The investigation is being led by State Crime Command's Robbery and Serious Crime Squad under Strike Force Merrilee.

As part of ongoing investigations, police executed a crime scene warrant at a Southern Highlands property on March 27, 2026.

The property was used as a stronghold by those involved, police allege.

Shortly after 10am on Friday, strike force detectives arrested a man at Horsley Park, in Sydney's west.

He was taken to Cabramatta Police Station and charged with taking or detaining in company with intent to ransom occasioning actual bodily harm and wounding or grievous bodily harm with intent.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Division Local Court on Saturday.
