SEVENTEEN drops tracklist for 12th mini album ‘SPILL THE FEELS’, featuring DJ Khaled collaboration

K-pop powerhouse SEVENTEEN has officially unveiled the tracklist for their much-anticipated 12th Mini Album, ‘SPILL THE FEELS’, which is set to be released on October 14. This album is going to showcase the group's innovative spirit and talent, featuring a total of six tracks that highlight their diverse musical styles: ‘Eyes on You’, ‘LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled)’, ‘1 TO 13’, ‘Candy’, ‘Rain’, and ‘Water’. Each track is a product of the members' creativity, with WOOZI contributing as composer and lyricist for five of the six songs. The collaboration across the group's three subunits - hip-hop, vocal, and performance - ensures that each track reflects the unique talents of the individual members, maintaining the group's signature sound while exploring new artistic territories.

One of the most thrilling aspects of this upcoming album is the collaboration with Grammy-winning producer DJ Khaled on the lead single, ‘LOVE, MONEY, FAME’. The anticipation surrounding this track has been high, especially following the release of an animated teaser on October 1. This teaser offered a brief but teasing glimpse into the collaborative process, teasing a fusion of DJ Khaled's signature R&B and hip-hop sound with SEVENTEEN's catchy melodies. The partnership with such a prominent figure in the music industry not only highlights SEVENTEEN's growing influence but also reflects their willingness to experiment with new genres and styles.

In the weeks leading up to the album's release, SEVENTEEN has curated a variety of content to build excitement among their fans. From a cinematic trailer that sets the emotional tone of the album to aesthetic track samplers that present snippets of each song, the group has engaged their fanbase in a compelling way. Each of the three concept photo sets - ‘FEEL BLUE’, ‘FEEL NEW’, and ‘FEEL YOU’, has added another layer of intrigue.

The ‘FEEL BLUE’ version captures the members in a submerged setting, evoking feelings of helplessness and introspection. In contrast, the ‘FEEL NEW’ concept presents a brighter and more uplifting atmosphere, symbolizing an awakening and embrace of positive emotions. Finally, the ‘FEEL YOU’ version focuses on the theme of togetherness, illustrating the bond between the thirteen members and their journey as a cohesive unit in the global music landscape.

The album's title, ‘SPILL THE FEELS’, carries a deep meaning, cleverly functioning as an anagram for ‘I FELT HELPLESS’. This theme resonates throughout the album, as it explores a transformative journey of emotional depth and personal growth. Each track and visual release serves as a window into the complex feelings that the group aims to convey, encouraging fans to reflect on their own experiences. The deep question posed by Jeonghan at the end of the trailer, “So I wonder, what is it that you want to spill out?” invites listeners to engage with the album on a personal level, prompting introspection and connection.

Furthermore, the album will be available on all major streaming platforms worldwide at 6 PM KST on October 14, 2024.
