Seven puppies found abandoned in bucket find forever homes – with regular 'play dates' so they can keep in touch

Seven puppies found abandoned in a bucket have all found forever homes – with regular “play dates” so they can keep in touch.

A hiker found the litter of tiny Labrador cross pups – so young their eyes hadn’t fully opened yet – in a bucket on the roof of her car in Co Meath last November.

At just weeks old and without a mum, they required bottle feeding and round-the-clock care, but they are now thriving.

Animal charity Dogs Trust, which took them in, said all seven survived and have now found loving homes.

A spokeswoman added: “We are delighted to tell you that they’re thriving. They all found forever homes with loving families.
Families who care so much they’ve even organised reunions so the siblings can play together.”

An update from one of the pups’ new owners says: “Buckley is a very energetic bundle of joy. He’s going to be big, he weighed in at 17.5kg at the beginning of March.

“Although a lot of that is fur – he is so furry and getting furrier as he gets older.”

Another reports: “Obi (Boomer) has brought so much joy to our house.

“He is getting so big. He is also a tad bit spoilt. He loves walks and getting groomed.”
