CHANDIGARH/MOHALI/PANCHKULA: Four persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Chandigarh on Friday while one recovered. There are 34 active cases and 65,172 confirmed cases, including 818 deaths.
In Mohali, recoveries exceeded fresh Covid cases with nine patients recovering and three testing positive. The active case count fell to 43 from 49 a day ago while the recovery rate rose slightly to 98.40%.
Two cases were reported from Boothgarh and one from Mohali urban, said health officials. No case was reported from Kharar, Dhakoli, Nayagaon, Mullanpur, Banur, Lalru, Kurali, Derabassi Gharuan and Zirakpur.
Mohali civil surgeon Dr Adarshpal Kaur said the number of positive cases in the district was declining and warned people against going easy on Covid protocol.
Health officials said as of now, 68,690 positive cases have been reported in the district, of which 67,586 patients have recovered and 43 cases are active. A total of 1,061 patients have died.
No fresh Covid case has been reported in Panchkula.
