Bugged Out! is celebrating 25 years this Saturday with a night of epic proportions at Printworks.
Bugged Out! has done a lot in 25 years, not only as a seminal club night. It has released timeless compilations and also hosted the Bugged Out Weekender, with a superb line-up each year including acts such as The Chemical Brothers, who have played for Bugged Out! since the beginning.
This weekend, the line-up is a list of veterans. Erol Alkan — who ran the infamous Trash club night at The End, bringing together indie and electronic music — will take to the decks, as will Jas Shaw and James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco. There will also be a live performance from Chicago’s Green Velvet, known for the hit La La Land.
2ManyDJs are an exciting addition to the bill. The Belgian brothers have been very busy in the past couple of weeks, with gigs in Seoul and Lisbon, as well as an incredible sold-out secret gig at The Arts Club in Mayfair.
Despite the allure of the main room — the Press Halls — don't forget the Dark Room. Here, a select group of Bugged Out! affiliates will each play a 25-minute set, including the likes of Justin Roberston and Mylo. Elsewhere, Dusky comes through with an acid house set.
