Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has admitted his third goal against Arsenal should perhaps have been disallowed for handball.

Aguero struck his 10th Premier League hat-trick in the 3-1 win at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, opening the scoring after 46 seconds before capping a wonderful team move just before the half-time whistle.

His third goal just after the hour-mark effectively ended the contest but the ball appeared bounce off the inside of the Argentine’s arm to help it across the line.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Aguero said: "It was important to win. The other game, I scored early and we lost, so I am very happy.

"I thought it came off my chest but now I see it on TV, it was a handball."

Victory moves City back to within two points of Premier League leaders Liverpool, who are in action against West Ham on Monday night.
