Sepia reveals location of its upcoming sister restaurant

April 28--The team behind Sepia restaurant (123 N. Jefferson St.), which some months back eked out the news that it was working on a sister concept while providing almost no details regarding said restaurant, is at it again.

Now they ("they" being owner Emmanuel Nony, chef Andrew Zimmerman and sommelier Arthur Hon) are announcing the location and a little bit about the food. And the name of the restaurant? All in good time, my pretties, all in good time.

What we now know: The new space is at 565 W. Randolph St., in the Werner Printing Engraving Co. building. This should take some of the commuting stress off chef Andrew Zimmerman, who will oversee both restaurants, as it's right next door to Sepia. And, in a minor coincidence, the space formerly housed a print shop, just as Sepia's home once did.

The menu will feature Zimmerman's takes on street food from Mexico, Thailand and other parts of the globe. Hon will create a beverage program with a rotating list of ciders and craft beers, and a batched cocktail or two.

The vaulted-ceiling space will feature glazed-brick walls, marble bar top and reclaimed-wood flooring. A chef's table will overlook the open kitchen.

The joint will open late this year. We'll get back to you on the name.
