An ambulance was parked at the scene.

Officers were pictured guarding the cordoned off area.

A spokesman for GMP said: "Police were called at around 1.35pm this afternoon (Thursday 23 July 2020) to reports of concern for the welfare of a man in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester.
