Secret Strictly 'feud' as viewers spot tense exchange between fan favourites in final

Strictly fans are speculating what went down between fan favourites Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice in the last few moments of the final.

After Hamza Yassin and his pro partner Jowita Przystal were declared winners, the rest of the Strictly cast rushed to congratulate them and formed an excited huddle.

However, as the credits rolled Graziano was seen going up to Giovanni and the pair separating from the group, with Graziano gesticulating animatedly for a few seconds, before Giovanni steers them back to their co-stars and starts clapping for the champions.

Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to pick up on the tense interaction, with one person saying on Twitter : "Could be me but did anyone see towards the end of strictly tonight something strange going on between Giovanni & Graziano?"

Another asked: "Anyone else see Giovanni & Graziano at the end of #Strictly."

One person replied: "Looked like they were having a disagreement of some sort!!!", while another said: "Yes. [googly eyes emoji] what happened there! Think Gio was mad that Gorka didn’t win."

Another wrote: "Gio is fiery so I know Graz is innocent whatever the situation [two laughing face emojis]

One viewer simply shared a clip and wrote: "Wonder what this was about???"

Graziano was paired with Coronation Street star Kym Marsh, with the duo making it to the quarter-finals.

Giovanni and his celeb partner Richie Anderson made an early exit on Strictly, at the start of October (PA)

Giovanni, who won last year's series with EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, made an early exit with Radio 2 presenter Richie Anderson.

Hamza and Jowita beat Helen Skelton, Fleur East, Molly Rainford and their pro partners to the trophy, after the wildlife presenter became a fan favourite.

Last night's finale was watched by an average TV audience of 9.2 million viewers, a dramatic drop from last year's, which had been viewed by an average of 11 million.

According to viewing figures, the ratings were for show's launch episode, which saw the celebrity contestants paired up with their professional partners, were also down from last year.

It was watched by an average of 5.4 million viewers, with a peak audience of 5.6 million, while last year's series launch received 7.0 million viewers, peaking at 7.3 million.

One explanation for the drop could be inconsistency of the viewing schedule which although publicised had seen the show moved from it's traditional prime time spots.

The scheduling switch up due to The World Cup saw the show moved on to Friday and Saturday nights for two weeks and last week's show was for the first time ever shown across Sunday and Monday nights.

Meanwhile Hamza and Jowita's victory comes despite their Showdance which was branded 'underwhelming' by judge Craig Revel Horwood.
