Alright, grab your dirty sodas and buckle up because we’re diving into the juicy world of #MomTok once again! The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is coming back for season two, and we’ve got all the tea on what’s brewing in Utah, plus a brand spanking new trailer!
Hulu announced that the show centred around a swinging scandal, would be returning for a second season back in October last year, per Deadline. Although they have ordered 20 more episodes of the show, this season will have 10 episodes filled with drama about faith, friendship and TikTok’s gone wrong.

Hold onto your hair extensions, because filming commenced in October and Hulu has now announced that SLOMW (yes, we’re making that acronym happen) will be gracing our screens on May 15 streaming on Disney+ for Aussie fans. Mark your calendars!
Who will be in The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives Season 2?
While production is keeping their lips pretty tight on the official cast list, rumour has it that most of our favourite MomTok queens will be back for more drama. Several previous cast members posted a dance video announcing the return of the show. We’re talking Taylor Frankie Paul, Layla Taylor, Demi Engemann, Jessi Ngatikaura, Mikayla Matthews, and Mayci Neeley.
Even Whitney Leavitt, who seemed to have beef with EVERYONE, is returning. She announced her return through a TikTok with Kris Jenner‘s audio that goes: “What would happen if you just called Taylor up?”
Whitney is then seen texting the MomTok chat group. At the top of the text, Taylor wrote, “Hey guys added Whit back to the chat!”
Whitney then responds with: “Excited to film season two with all of you. I know there’s tough conversations ahead but I look forward to our journey together.” The suspense!!! I need the new season immediately, if not sooner.
As for Jennifer Affleck, who moved to New York, she hinted at a possible return in an interview with Us Weekly, when she said we’ll “have to wait for season two to see what happens”.
She’s been spotted in multiple of the wives TikToks recently, so I think it’s safe to say she’ll be in the second season.
There are rumours that we will also be seeing YouTuber Aspyn Ovard in the new season, as she was spotted attending a cast Halloween party during their filming period. It’s doubtful she’ll be a full time cast member, since she moved away from Utah to LA earlier this year, but anything is possible in the lives of Mormon wives.
The teaser trailer also showed OG MomTokker Miranda McWhorter rocking up to the party. Miranda was Taylor Frankie Paul‘s ex-BFF, but their almost five year friendship was ruined during Taylor’s infamous swinging scandal.
Distractify reported that Miranda actually auditioned for season one of the show, but ended up dropping out. Miranda’s ex-husband Chase McWhorter opened up to Us Weekly last year about the couple’s involvement in the swinging scandal saying that Taylor’s spicy claims were over the top.
One of my biggest disappointments from season one is that we only saw one participant in the swinging scandal (Taylor)on the show, even though that’s what got the show going in the first place. So I think it’s safe to say we’ll definitely be unpacking that mess in this upcoming season and I am SAT.

Is there a trailer for The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives Season 2 yet?
Yes there is!! Several, in fact.
In the teaser, it was confirmed that Miranda is joining the crew. She has been introduced as “the girl who was swinging with Taylor”. An iconic label TBH.
As for all those cliffhangers last season, well, it looks like we’re finally getting some answers. Jen Affleck and her walking red flag hubby Zac had us worried, but now he’s shown up at her door with flowers and a suitcase. Romantic gesture or packed and ready to go? We’ll have to tune in to find out.
The trailer’s also teasing us with a positive pregnancy test (probably Jen’s seeing that she announced the news on Insta this year), police sirens blaring (because what’s #MomTok without a little law enforcement?), and some proper DadTok drama. Taylor’s baby daddy Dakota Mortensen is even caught on camera yelling, “Did you just touch my wife?” Yikes!
And let’s not forget about Whitney Leavitt. She’s still feeling the heat from last season’s drama, saying, “They’re holding grudges because I don’t even know why.” Girl, did you even watch last season??

Now, a full-length trailer is out in the world and it’s full of spice.
It begins with Mayci saying, “I never imagined for everything to blow up like this” as moments from the year since the reality series aired plays. She then adds, “But it’s a double edged sword.”
At one point in the trailer, Taylor teases things are going to “get messy, for sure” and ooh boi, she is correct!

What will The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives Season 2 be about?
This season we are in for a rollercoaster ride of faith, drama and 44oz soda. You can expect to see more Taylor and Dakota drama, especially since Taylor announced their breakup during filming and then promptly showed them getting back together one month later. Taylor teased us with a subtle Insta story of her and Dakota on a mountain getaway, before going full rom-com with a TikTok of Dakota giving her flowers and doing chores. Go off, bare minimum king!
Whitney’s baby drama is set to take centre stage, too. Remember that pee-soaked pregnancy test in a cake? Well, the bun’s out of the oven now, and we’ll likely be watching the last stages of her pregnancy unfold. Fingers crossed for less cake-based revelations this time around.
Now that we know Jen Affleck is gracing us with her presence again, we’ll be unpacking all the drama of her New York move for Zac‘s medical career. Speaking of Zac, can we talk about the fact that he might not actually be related to Ben Affleck. A source familiar with the Utah Affleck family spilled the tea to PEOPLE, saying the connection is “absolutely not true”. I need answers in season two!!
The girls also seem to be bringing their A-game to the party scene. They’ve been posting what seems to be a cowgirl-chic shindig, complete with a mechanical bull. And let’s not forget the Halloween bash with Aspyn Ovard. Expect more themed parties, maybe sans the Fruity Pebbles this time.
