Tom Brady had a few glorious moments during “The Match.” And he had a few awful ones. (That’s pretty standard for most folks playing 18 on a Sunday.)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback had a particularly embarrassing shot on the front nine during the golf charity event at the Medalist Golf Club in Florida, and New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton couldn’t help but deliver a burn. Payton, after all, is now one of Brady’s division rivals after the quarterback left the New England Patriots this offseason. Payton has more reasons to root against Brady than ever. The Saints coach couldn’t help but see a quarterback in decline, now that he’s in Florida.
Here’s a look at the shot that seemed to elicit the reaction from Payton.
To be fair to Brady, he followed the mess-up with an absolutely stunning shot, which helped he and Phil Mickelson get back in the game against Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods.
