Sean "Diddy" Combs’ legal team has launched a challenge against federal prosecutors' claims of a possible second victim in the ongoing sex trafficking case.
In a court filing, Diddy’s lawyers argued that prosecutors have presented information regarding the existence of a second alleged victim. The documents obtained by TMZ show that Diddy’s attorneys disputed the claims as "nonsense" and asserted that the woman in question is "not a victim at all."
The defence team argued that prosecutors had not even interviewed the alleged second victim. Additionally, Diddy’s lawyers state that he has made no attempts to interfere with the investigation or contact the woman, further claiming that the prosecution misled the court and withheld key information during the initial bail hearing following his September 16 arrest in New York City.
Friday’s filing marks Diddy’s fourth attempt to secure bail, having been repeatedly denied by the court.
The initial indictment charged the musician with racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution, focusing on an unnamed victim speculated to be his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. Diddy's lawyers argue that the relationship with "Victim 1" spanned 11 years, ending in 2018, with allegations surfacing in November 2023. The legal team claims these accusations are an attempt at extortion, citing a demand for $30 million for the rights to a tell-all book.
