Seamus Coleman injury latest as Rafa Benitez confirms triple Everton boost

Everton boss Rafa Benitez expects Seamus Coleman to be available for his side’s Premier League clash against Burnley on Monday night.

The Blues captain picked up a hamstring injury playing for the Republic of Ireland against Azerbaijan in a World Cup qualifier last weekend.

Coleman returned to Finch Farm earlier this week for treatment and to be assessed by the club's medical staff.

And Benitez has revealed that he expects the experienced full-back to be fit for Monday’s game.

While Benitez has also confirmed that Ben Godfrey and Yerry Mina have both returned to full training, but James Rodriguez and Fabian Delph have both been ruled out of the game at Goodison Park.

Rodriguez is still working his way back to full match fitness, while Delph will miss the game against Sean Dyche’s side with a shoulder injury.

"It was not very bad,” Benitez said on Coleman’s injury. "I think he can be available on Monday.

"The majority of the players are fine. We have two or three issues, but Yerry and Ben are training already.

“Fabian Delph has a problem with the shoulder. That is the longest (injury) maybe we have. Tom Davies is very close. We are in a good situation at the moment.”

Before the Everton boss added on Rodriguez: “He is training with the team. We have been talking about his future and we had some clubs interested but he is still here.

“To get match fitness, it means he has to play games and has to play games in a row. At the moment, I think he is a little bit behind the others.”
