Seahawks Week 6 player of the game: Running back Chris Carson

The Seattle Seahawks earned a hard-fought 32-28 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, giving them their first 5-1 start since the 2013 season.

Quarterback Russell Wilson was once again excellent, but the player of the game goes to running back Chris Carson.

Carson carried the ball 24 times for 124 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown, a one-yard run with 3:30 left in the fourth quarter.

He also hauled in four receptions for 35 yards, giving him 159 all-purpose yards on the day.

“Another great day for Chris,” coach Pete Carroll commented after the game. “Just ran so hard and so well. In the last few weeks, he’s just been on fire. He’s just so tough. Love the way he plays.”

Carson has now rushed for over 100 yards in three consecutive games after fumbling once in each of Seattle’s first three games.

With those issues in the past, Carson has been able to focus on pounding the ball on the ground, and he looks on pace to eclipse the 1,000-yard marker once again this season for Seattle.
